So up until last week cohen’s typical prayer before dinner was a standard “dear god, thank you for our food and our drinks. AMEN.
However, he became quite verbose this past week…. So much so that I had to write two especially memorable prayers down to remember them. (remember, this is all completely from him with no prompting from us)
Prayer #1: (last Sunday night when we were planning on going over to a friend’s house Cohen had never met) “dear god, thank you for our food and our drinks and our chairs and our new table cloth, and aunt patti, and Marie and that guy we go carve pumpkins at his house.
Last Thursday’s prayer: “dear god, thank you for our food and our drinks and our paper towels and marie’s new baby Claire, and our library books, and our sophie, and mrs. Evenson come to the library, and our living room, and Justin Bieber.
Not kidding about any of the above. I immediately had to write it down in a notebook, so now whenever Cohen finishes a prayer he asks “you gonna write that one down?”
I just finished putting himto bed, but he had quite a detailed request before I left the room: “mama, you stay here and lay down with me and talk a little bit”
Who could deny that? Not this sucker.
